A DC to DC Converter is an electronic circuit that converts a source of Direct Current (DC) from one voltage level to another. DCDC power converters are employed in a variety of applications, including power supplies for personal computers, office equipment, spacecraft power systems, laptop computers, and telecommunications equipment, as well as DC motor drives. The input to a DCDC converter is an unreguated DC voltage. The Nextek isolated DCDC converter is a step-down converter producing a lower regulated output voltage (24 VDC) from a higher varying input voltage (70-430 VDC). Also, the converter is isolated, resulting in the prevention of DC back feeding from the input to the output.
